Challenge

We were tasked with creating a dynamic identity for an ever-evolving campus—a commercial real estate project that needed to attract tenants before construction was complete. The challenge was twofold: develop a compelling visual identity that captured the project's vision and ensure the website showcased the building’s stunning architectural renderings in a way that felt both premium and inviting.

Approach

We crafted the identity and website for theLAB—a Bay Area-based commercial campus designed to foster science and biotech innovation. Inspired by the visual language of laboratories, we developed a horizontal-scrolling experience with a Petri dish–inspired aesthetic. The design not only reflected the spirit of experimentation but also provided a bold, modern framework to showcase large-scale architectural renders of the campus. My responsibilities included designing all UI elements, developing fluid components tailored for the horizontal scroll experience, and collaborating closely with a 3D generalist to create custom illustrations from scratch. These visuals drew inspiration from microorganisms—like cells, neurons, and other organic forms—to reinforce the scientific essence of theLAB’s identity.
